"The tech was nice and seemed to do all the maintenance checks as far as I could tell, but he could use guidance on how to interact with customers, so the customer has confidence in the company and its products and is not left to think an expense piece of equipment recently purchased can no longer be used because the company doesnt stand behind the product. Also, I am very specific about my garden and water set-up. In the future, please advise your people that if they need water, they shouldnt take it upon themselves to disconnect and reconnect hoses. I have had equipment broken by experienced and well-meaning workers and prefer to be notified if someone needs to use the hose. I am grateful Joselino Ramirez was also on the call. He is very professional and helpful. I am waiting to hear about a part replacement and hope the company will stand by the expensive air filter system I purchased. I have noticed a decline in customer service over the years and many people dont seem to stay long. I hope you value and encourage Joselino and others like him to stay."

"We had a service call for a leaking tankless water heater that Parker Pearce installed years ago.. The service technician opened the cover, didn't seem familiar with the unit, and the sales person who accompanied him was quick to price the cost of a replacement unit at $6,000. I was surprised at the price. I asked how much of the $6,000 was for the new heater itself. He said he couldn't provide that information but it was usually about 2/3 of the cost, meaning $4,000 in this case. After they left I did some research and found that a comparable replacement unit costs (retail) around $1,200. That means I would be charged $4,800 for the labor to swap out one heater for another. I find that outrageous, as was Parker Pearce's inability to tell me how much a replacement heater would cost. I contacted another company that has expertise in tankless heaters that informed me (1) up until recently, the leaking could have been resolved by the replacement of a part (which Parker Pearce did not seem aware of given their unfamiliarity with the unit) but that the part recently became unavailable; and (2) the installation of a comparable heater would cost $3,400 and take a couple of hours. I am left to conclude that either Parker Pearce had no understanding of what the true cost would be and just make up the $6,000 number, or is simply truly to wildly overcharge it's customers. We had our A/C and heating installed by Parker Pearce and have had maintenance contracts with you for many years. I'm currently considering never doing business with you again and writing up my experience for Washington Checkbook, BBB, etc. I've never done so for a company before, but I feel this is truly egregious."

"I didnt have heat and i had deduced that the problem was with my pressure switch. While the tech confirmed that the switch was ok, he concluded that the motherboard ($800) needed to be replaced. QAdter he left and ordered a new motherboard, I took it upon myself to check the wiring connectors to the motherboard and found that there was just a bad connection (so it seamed), and i got the furnace operational myself. After learning of my success, the tech still wanted to replace the motherboard ($800). I elected to wait, and my furnace thus far is operating perfectly. I understand that the motherboard could act up in the future, but I wouldve appreciated the Tech to have done a little more problem-solving and not immediately resolve to purchasing an $800 part."
